Lea Faka-Tonga: Learn Tongan ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address (or Apple ID if you use Sign in with Apple).
• Usage Data: We collect information about lessons completed, streak counts, quiz scores, and other learning progress data stored locally on your device.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe, purchase data is processed by Apple's App Store. We do not store your payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To save and sync your learning progress
• To provide personalized spaced repetition review
• To manage your subscription status
• To improve the app and its content

3. Data Storage

Your learning progress is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. Account data (if you create an account) may be stored on secure servers. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions
• RevenueCat: For subscription management (subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic Claude API: For the Tali AI Tutor feature. Conversation data is sent to Anthropic's servers to generate responses. We do not store these conversations.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

6. Sign in with Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email (or a private relay email) with us. We use this only to create your account. We follow Apple's guidelines for handling this data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your data.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below or use the Delete Account feature in the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
